MOSCOW, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Aviation authorities of Russia and Luxembourg agreed on launching direct flights between the two countries, Russian media reported Thursday.
The two sides held fruitful talks and made a decision on the opportunity to fly between their capital cities, namely Moscow and Luxembourg, Russian Deputy Transport Minister Alexander Yurchik said, according to Sputnik news agency.
Direct flights between Russia's second largest city St. Petersburg and Luxembourg will also be launched as "a gesture of good will," Tass news agency quoted Yurchik as saying.
Russia and Luxembourg reportedly agreed to carry out up to seven flights per week and the flights will start operating as early as the spring of next year.
