BUCHAREST, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- A Romanian security team has been making checks on a Wizzair aircraft and the baggages on board after the plane made an emergency landing amid a bomb threat in the northern suburbs of Bucharest on Thursday. No explosives have been found so far.
"SRI (Romanian Intelligence Service) brought a pyrotechnic team, which will scan the luggage and aircraft," announced the service, stressing that the airport management initiated the standard procedure in such situations.
The Wizzair aircraft, on the route Kutaisi-Warsaw, made an emergency landing on the Otopeni Airport, after a woman announced the bomb threat by telephone at the Kutaisi airport, Georgia, according to the airport authority.
The plane, which didn't have Romania as a destination, parked on an isolated position after landing and the 173 passengers were debarked soon.
