PRAGUE, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- The Czech team took a 2-0 lead over the U.S. team in the first day of women's tennis Fed Cup final, which took place on Saturday in O2 Arena, Prague.
In the first two games, Czech player Barbora Strycova rallied to beat American Sofia Kenin 6-7 (5), 6-1, 6-4 before her compatriot Katerina Siniakova outlasted Alison Riske 6-3, 7-6 (2).
The Czech women's tennis team won Fed Cup for the first time in 2011 after the country's independence in 1993. They have since won four more Fed Cups in 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
