BERLIN, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- Environmental campaign group, Fridays for Future, published an open letter on Friday in which the activists called on the German government to "fundamentally revise the inadequate climate package".
The letter claimed that the German government's climate measures were "ignoring not only the desire of hundreds of thousands of young people for a future worth living", but also the "wake-up calls from science and broad sections of the population".
The youth group also announced another global day of action for Nov. 29, just before the start of the World Climate Conference in Chile.
The German government had presented its climate action plan last month with which Germany is aiming to achieve its climate goals set for 2030. Germany aims to cut its greenhouse gas emissions by 55 percent by 2030 compared to 1990 levels.
